Andra Medea

Andra Medea is a specialist in conflict management who has taught for Northwestern University and The University of Chicago. Her model, The Conflict Continuum, forms the basis of this book. The Continuum has proved a valuable tool for managers, HR professionals, parents, mediators and others who cope with conflict.

Ms. Medea began her career in 1972, when she was commissioned to co-author Against Rape, with Kathleen Thompson. This was the first modern book on violence against women and stayed in print for 18 years. It has since been considered a classic in the field. It was released in British and French editions and banned under the apartheid government of South Africa.
